Organizational Development

MISSION LEADS has a proven process for conducting organizational assessments that help leaders and their boards to assess their infrastructure, prioritize needs, and build action plans for progress. The process of transforming an idea into an operating organization can be complicated. It takes time, planning, and a firm understanding of best practices. MISSION LEADS offers services such as business and strategic planning for startup ventures, corporate structures, building articles of incorporation, applying for tax exempt or 'b corp' status, and designing and assessing your proposed impact.

Needs Assessment

Needs assessment is the process by which vital information is obtained about the external operating environment and internal systems performance, and is designed to identify strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Regular assessments are necessary to provide key stakeholders with the feedback required to develop and realize strategic goals and activity.

Strategic Planning

Strategic planning is necessary to systematically consider goals and the strategies necessary to achieve those goals, but it is even more useful for external purposes in that it enables organizations to communicate effectively with constituents, donors, and community partners. Our results-based approach to strategic planning begins with a process of educating the leadership team on the importance of impact-based planning. We use a data-driven approach, facilitate participation and buy-in by board and staff, and conclude with solid, actionable plans which align your impact goals with strategies that achieve results.

MISSION LEADS strengthens and elevates exceptional boards. We train and consult to educate them on roles and responsibilities, recruitment and retention, and fundraising and governance. We can work with your executives or board leaders to develop a board succession plan. This may include identification of governance or nominating committee roles, recommendations on process and support for recruitment, and orientation and development.
